The challenge this week on Simply Stampin' is to follow a sketch which I have to say is usually a favourite with me and some very interesting layout options crop up from time to time - just have to remember them when inspiration is lacking!! I'm afraid I don't know the source of the papers I've used as they are from the 'bits' box (still using scraps where possible), The stamp is from SU Aviary set with a little swirl of leaves from Sweet Summer. Framelits labels dies were used for the image, Scalloped Edgelits die for the border strip and Sizzlits Lots of Tags and an SU punch for the sentiment. Do take a look at what their Design Team have shown us for inspiration this week by following the link.
I always pop over to look at your challenge entries as I think your cards are amazing. This one is no exception! Good luck

Splendid the way you've picked up the blue from the floral paper & also the sketchy patterning with your stamping - you'd think the papers were designed for the stamps or vice versa. The bird cage scrollwork picks up on the scrolls & leaves of those flower stems in the papers too - terrific.

Lovely card Val, the shades with the paper and stamping are fab.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way of pulling in the flower detail on the backing paper onto the main image panel. Lovely Val. Hugs, Buttons x

Fabulous colour co-ordination on this lovely card Val. I especially like the way the blue frame picks out the tiny bits of blue in that very pretty background paper. Beautiful work as always.
