My second tag this month is less elaborate but no easier to think of something to fit the letter - it seems to get harder as the alphabet progresses and I daren't think about the end few letters yet. A favourite set of stamps from Elusive Images (now Chocolate Baroque) is Retro Flowers and this is what I turned to for this tag. The background was inked with Distress inks and then water stamped which lifts some of the colour. The main image was simply stamped and embossed, cut out using a Spellbinders die. The retro style embossed piece of card was produced by inking the embossing folder before inserting the card - a piece of ribbon was added for good measure. These two tags have been posted off now and I'm looking forward to seeing which 'swaps' I'll be getting this month - the collection is growing.
Great retro tag Val lively choice of colours

Another great tag Val, this is one of the CB sets of stamps that I don't have (there aren't many).

Gorgeous colours & I'd not thought of that one at all - those flowers are terrific against the background & I love how you matched them with the ribbon. the variegated inking of the embossing folder is terrific & really adds to the retro effect - I'm sure you can claim an "R" for "rusty colours" too.

This is another lovely tag and what a good idea for "R" I like the colours you have used too and the idea of inking the embossing folder first

What a good theme for the letter R Val and a lovely tag to boot! Love the effect you've achieved with the inked embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteMy tags are very late this month and I've only done my Q one so far, oooower!
