Q is for Quilling

Time to be thinking about sending off the two tags for this month in the Chocolate Baroque alpha tag swap and for 'Q' I settled on quilling which is something I'd not done for years but I have all the 'stuff' for it.  At first I had difficulty thinking of anything to fit this letter especially as products from CB have to be included but this aspect is taken care of with the background which was coloured using Distress Stains and then some overstamping using CB grasses stamps to form the basis for my quilled 'garden' complete with cheeky frog sitting on a stone.  I will show you my take on the tag for 'R' another day.  At the moment it is so dark indoors that I need the light on to see what I'm doing and there is torrential rain so I won't be going to the post with these today.

I wondered about Quilling for Q & love your interpretation here. I too have a lot of the gubbins but haven't done any for years. Hope you keep dry.

  5. I love it Val, you're a pro!
It's all great but I do particularly like the butterfly wings and the fringing - which looks rather uniform!

  6. Absolutely magical Val - I just love this tag and your quilling is amazing. Must be good as you've had the royal seal of approval from the Queen of Quilling herself (yes I do mean Jill!!!). Must admit it's not something that I enjoy doing but can still appreciate it in all it's glory.

  12. Wow Val, this is wonderful! It may be a long time since you did any quilling but you certainly haven't lost the knack. It's absolutely delightful. Really clever and intricate work and that frog is going to bring a smile to some lucky person's face every time they look at him.

    Hugs
