Bah Humbug Challenge 33

My don't the weeks go by quickly??  It is time again for the Bah Humbug challenge and this time the theme is 'charms'.  I searched through all my stash and couldn't find any Christmas charms so resorted to stamping a tree onto black shrink plastic with moonlight white Brilliance ink and making a charm.  I stamped the same tree onto black card and embossed with sparkle embossing powder and mounted this onto layers cut with Nestabilities.  Background paper is from a Papermania pad which I've had for a while (maybe last Christmas or even the one before that) with the addition of some Cuttlebug snowflake embossed silver card and a sentiment from a current set of Papermania Christmas greeting stamps. It was finished off with some ribbon and pearls from my stash. The stamp is an old one by Inca Stamps.

I came across this image while I was tidying my workspace (yet again) - it is a rub down image from Papermania Born To Shop range.  Background papers are from My Minds Eye and the little tags on the flower were made using a tiny tags punch and stamps from stampin Up fastened with a matching brad.

Popcorn

This Popcorn Bear card was made using a CD from Crafters Companion and was quite easy to make once I'd chosen and printed out the papers, image and border.  I made some matching flowers using a Nellies flower punch - quick and easy is good sometimes I find.

Two Birds

I just had to have a play with a recently acquired Sizzix die which I used to cut a shape from some card in my bits box(es), sponged the edges with distress inks and then thought "what next?"  I settled for a greeting stamped and cut using Stampin Up oval punches and two birds with leaves which are made using a Stampin Up punch. Background paper and the scraps used for the birds and leaves are also SU. luckily I also had just enough matching ribbon to complete the card.

I decided to have a go at making a background paper using a digital scrapbooking programme and was quite pleased with the result. I thought this image from Retro Women stamp set by Tanda Stamps was just right to use with the background.  I added some paper lace tinted with Distress ink and a 'button' strip made with a cuttlebug embossing folder; greeting is from stampin Up,

Challenge 33 Polkadoodles

The Polkadoodles Challenge this week is 'vintage' to show that although lots of their images are really quirky it is possible to make a vintage style card using their products.  I chose an image, border and background paper from Love and Cherish CD which with the addition of some inking, stamped flourishes and lace made a card suitable for a Wedding or Anniversary. The sentiment was computer generated and punched with Stampin Up punches and the heart border is a Martha Stewart punch

Bah Humbug Challenge 32

Winter wonderland is the topic for this weeks challenge at Bah Humbug and as it is a miserable wet morning I decided to go into the craft room and get started - would you believe that half way through the first card I had an idea for a second one so they are both here as I couldn't decide which I liked best.

The shaker element on the first card was one I had made last Christmas and not used, background paper is from Artylicious Seasons Greetings CD, sentiment was also done using the text facility on the greetings element of the CD and the snowflakes are Nestabilities using glitter hand made paper.

The second one came about because I saw a forgotten  bonus section on the CD which has some lovely pages  which are text editable so I added the words at the bottom.  The trees are pearl card cut out and embossed with a Cuttlebug Christmas tree set.
