I've still held off buying any of the latest lattice dies and I've used a different, and very ancient, die from my stash. This time it's framed by a circle and I've added butterflies and a stamped and die cut sentiment. I seem to recall that this particular lattice die and its matching embossing folder (which I never managed to get hold of) were both extremely popular when they appeared and crafters were almost 'queueing around the black' to acquire one or both of these items.
Circle Die - from Noble Pierced Circles set Creative Expressions
Lattice - Cover Plate die Tied Together from Couture Creations
Sentiment - from Craft Addiction UK flower stamps/dies by Susan Hardy
Butterflies - also from CAUK

Very clever Val - and a lovely finished look.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your ingenuity and for not having succumbed to the latest releases .. .. .. it doesn’t help that the prices of the dies nowadays are so much more sensibly priced than in times gone by does it.
Love and hugs

I love the look of this pretty butterfly card with the lattice background. Xxx
ReplyDeleteI love that you gave the ancient pretty die some love, Val, and how you framed it with the circle. The framed butterflies make it a beautiful balanced composition! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Val. I’ve never seen the Tied Together die, but it’s beautiful. I did buy the embossing folder and remember it being really difficult to get hold of, for some reason.

Never seen this die but I did get the EF! It's a lovely card and your framing looks great.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card with your butterflies and lattice feature. I love using old stash in new ways, and this is such a good idea to add texture and interest xxx
ReplyDeleteP.s. Blogger is really messing with our reading list posts……this only popped up today 😳
