Well - so much for my idea of blogging more regularly! I see it is a week ago I last posted something but I really will try harder. It is geting towards time to post off my Quintiles for this month's swap at Chocolate Baroque and the theme this time is 'spring' - I do wish someone would tell the weather that it should be warmer though as it still feels very much like the depths of winter with the biting cold winds.
I decided to use one of the CB Build a Tree stamps and added pink blossom with a couple of the smaller stamps in the set. The background was done with distress inks and I've added a word from another set of CB stamps called Flora Bella, set into a bookplate from a Tim Holtz Sizzix tag die. I'm off now to produce something for the second piece of work so watch this space.
Good Morning Val, Love this card, great stamping and background. It was perishingly cold yesterday, I went to Street with my eldest but didn't stay very long. Do stay warm and safe. xx Flora
ReplyDeleteGreat stamping here Val. Now all we need is the real thing!! Hugs, Jenny x
ReplyDeleteLove the way you outlined the bookplate with the same colour as those blossoms & it’s extra effective with the brads. Your matting colour is especially effective with the colours used for the tree & the whole is a delightful little scene. Snow here the past few days. You’re doing better than I am with blogging – major downsizing of my craft stash taking place…………

A beautiful Quintile Val, at the end of last week the blossom was beginning to appear on the trees. I don't know what the weather this week has done to it, I've been hibernating.
