Some Stitching
I've been stitching various bits and pieces recently and thought I'd share pictures of a cover for an e-reader or tablet taken from a design by those clever Clover people - I do have a weakness for their products!! The outer fabric is a Kaffe Fasset print and the lining is a toning batik stype cotton fabric, both purchased in my local store. There isn't much to say about this really as hopefully the pictures are self explanatory. The little strips of elastic hold the device in place and the clever strap arrangement either holds the holder closed like a book (with velcro) or the strap doubles as a strut so that the tablet stands at an angle for easy viewing of films etc. Some of you might have spotted Jennie Rayment recently on Create and Craft showing how this is made - she usually has a patchwork/quilting show on Sunday mornings at 8am, well worth a look.
What a fabulous make. I loved Kaffe Fasset wool when I did lots of knitting years ago. I never knew he was doing print as well. Hugs Rita xxx

Gorgeous project, great to see a different make so thank you for sharing. Beautiful material. xx Flora
ReplyDeleteThat looks absolutely delightful - lovely & cheery as well as utterly practical. The design itself looks gorgeous & I love the way you have combined the patterned fabrics.

Wow this is gorgeous Val, love the fabric. I've not seen anything from Clover before, but will now have to see what I can find. This case certainly beats my boring black kindle case.

ReplyDeleteThat's lovely Val - do you need a tablet for it now?
ReplyDeleteHi Val, what a great project. I love the material you have used its lovely. You've made a great job of it. Hugs x ChrisB
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Val and so useful (if you have the latest technology, lol). You've made such a professional job of it too. I think you'd have a hard job persuading anyone who didn't know how good you are that you'd not bought it.
