The challenge at Make My Monday this week is still on the French theme and this time they are looking for FRENCH VINTAGE which I must say needed a bit of thought to come up with something suitable but I think I got there eventually. Background paper is from Tim Holtz vintage shabby collection and fortunately there is French text on some of the sheets. Image is a stamp from Crafty Individuals, a Sizzix top note die was embossed with Creative Expressions floral embossing folder, swirls were a Marianne die and the flowers and piece of lace from my stash. I typed a few french words on the computer and cut them up to make the little 'tags' - spellcheck didn't like these!! I had a lovely inky day yesterday which, considering the relentless rain, was a pleasant way of spending a miserable dark day - now I have to tidy up a bit so that I have space on my desk to work on some more ideas for using up the stash.
I see that the talented Hels Sheridan is on TV later with some wonderful new products so I've set it to record and must try hard not to be too tempted into adding to my stash!!
I dont think this challenge is an easy one but you have made a lovely card and covered the challenge very well. Love your touch of embossing and lace, great image and your swirl with flowers sets it off well...

Beautiful card Val, love the soft tones and all the embellies:) It's blue skies all the way today and yesterday, thank goodness , as all the concrete is being poured into the footings!

Love the way you typed those little quotes & I'm not surprised Mr Spellcheck wasn't amused - he's very temperamental when I try him with Swedish. The delicate colours are super & I just love the soft delicate feminineness of this.

PS - should that perhaps be femininity?
This is beautiful Val, so feminine. Hugs, Buttons x

Pretty in pink! ;) LOVE your beautiful image and the flowers are just beautiful! Thanks for joining us at MMM! :) Hope to see you at Technique Tuesday and Digi Haven, too! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty Val and I love your focal image. The background paper is perfect. Hels' show was such a temptation wasn't it. I did manage to resist but only because I need my pennies for the Kettering show on Saturday, lol!
