Snippets Challenge #427

Time to visit the Snippets Playground again and I hear there is Maypole dancing so I hope the weather is better there than it is where I am - grey and rainy today, typical Bank Holiday weather I guess. Everything apart from the  base card came from the Snippets mountain..  I started with a piece of yellow background paper left over from some sheets which I printed recently for another project and everything else came from the white card snippets - always seem to have far more white bits and pieces for some reason.  The largest white piece first had a beehive-shaped aperture cut into it followed by stamping the curved words and then embossing it with a honeycomb pattern using a stencil.  This aperture was backed with a small white die cut honeycomb.  The bees and flowers were stamped, coloured and die cut and there was a small strip of the yellow paper remaining so I cut a decorative edge to it before layering it across the base of the front, adding a stamped and die cut 'Hello'.  Do follow the link and pop along to see a great card for inspiration as well as the lovely prize which will go to the lucky person whose name is drawn at the end of the two weeks.

  1. This is a BEE-utiful card Val. Really cheerful in those colours and I love how you've combined the bees, honeycomb and flowers. It's bee-lightful! (Sorry!)

The sun always shines in the Snippets Playground so no problem with shrinking the Maypole ribbons! Hope you've grabbed your flower garland and a ribbon! Thanks for coming to play xxx
