Snippets Playground #426

Off to the Playground this afternoon with the latest card made using some of my snippets and this time it is a card for someone who really enjoys reading.  I've used an embossing folder and some dies which came free with a magazine some time ago - probably a couple of years or more because these days I rarely go into any shops where these magazines used to jump off the shelves into my basket.  Everything except for the card blank has come from my snippets collection.  The background paper was a scrap left from a magazine give-away and I've over-stamped some text detail onto it.  The cream snippet was run through the embossing folder and mounted onto a snippet of blue.  The 'books' were die cut using several different colours of quite small snippets and I was very careful to save every little piece, including the fall out bits so that they could be popped back into the spines of the books.  There were also some stamps with this give away set so I stamped and fussy cut a little plant and a sleeping cat to add to the bookshelves.  Decided there wasn't really space for any words on the front but the inside has a birthday sentiment.

  1. Perfect card for a bookworm, love how you used all those teeny tiny snippets! Xxx

  2. oh my gosh, all those little books look amazing and I love how you popped the negative snippets back in to alternate the colors! Cute kitty on that shelf too :)

  3. Fabulous card for a book lover. Looks like it took some patience to do!

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. I hope you enjoyed the Easter egg hunt! Xxx
