Pixie Snippets Challenge 315 and 316

Well so much for trying to blog on a more regular basis - not managed to keep to it this week which seems to have disappeared more quickly than usual.  It will be good getting back to normal where each week starts with the correct day with no Bank Holidays to cause confusion.  I have however been pretty busy trying to catch with a long outstanding stitching project which I need to finish so I've not been wasting time.

It is time for the first Playground Challenge of the year and I've gone for a floral card which uses up some snippets of watercolour paper which was coloured using Pixie Powders.  A fairly large piece was embossed and then some Glitter Kiss was applied to give  it some sparkle and then I found a spare frame lying around which had been die cut from silver pearl card.  The remaining snippets of coloured and silver card were die cut into flowers and leaves to enhance the oval frame (also assembled using snippets).  Finally a sentiment was stamped onto yet another snippet of white card.  There is an interesting and apparently very useful item as a prize this week - take a look and maybe enter the challenge for an opportunity to go into the draw.

Embossing Folder - Creative Expressions
Frame - Sue Wilson Noble Squares pierced die
Ovals - Sue Wilson die
Flowers/Leaves - also Sue Wilson dies
Sentiment - Chocolate Baroque stamp.

  1. Wow, what a stunning card Val, hard to believe that it was made of scraps. This shows that even the things we discard can be made into something beautiful.

  2. I have never heard of Glitter Kiss before but it is certainly showing up a treat on your card. My motto for 2018 is to blog on a shoe string so I will be taking a leaf out of your book for sure. Hugs Mrs A.
