Snippets Playground

My card for the Snippets Playground challenge this week uses the technique of paper piecing - lots of snippets in the letters making up the words on this very large birthday stamp from Woodware.  Because the stamp is so large the card doesn't really need much more to finish it off so I simply added background paper and a layer cut with a fancy border die set.  The words were stamped onto various scraps of printed paper from my scrap box, cut out and stuck onto the blank stamped image.

The weather is beautiful here today so I was forced to go out and mow the lawns this morning with a break for lunch - finished off afterwards and now I'm tired (that's the polite way of saying it!!).  I'm going to find something quiet and restful to do for the remainder of the day. Enjoy your Bank Holiday.

Papers all from Funky Hand CDs (as far as I can remember)
Stamp - Woodware who make other large and useful word stamps
Border - Spellbinder dies

  7. This is great. I'm a fan of these 'huge' words - I seem to recall you suggesting that paper piecing this one would be a bit much!! Looks great though.
