Forgotten Friday 43

Well I have managed a minimal tidy up in the craft room - at least now I've put away all the things which were cluttering my working space but in reality the whole stash needs a serious sort out but that can be done gradually and hopefully during the process I'll find lots of items to use for the Forgotten Friday challenges this year.  Who am I kidding?? Of course I'll come across tons of 'stuff' which hasn't seen the light of day for ages!!

Another crafty area which needs re-organising is my computer as, like many of you I imagine, I download things all the time as and when they take my fancy but quite often I don't actually use them.  It is one such image which I've used this week for Judith's challenge - it is one of the Pretty Birds digital downloads from Chocolate Baroque which I have used as a background.  The text is from one of their bird stamp sets and the feather is a Stampin Up stamp from a nature set.  The digital image has been sitting on my hard drive for ages, the bird stamps have been resting in their storage box for even longer and I used a Spellbinder die (never been used before) to make a buckle for the ribbon.  Do take a look at Judith's blog to see what others have been using from their 'forgotten' stash.

  1. You must feel much happier now Val for two reasons clearing your work space for also for using images that you've not used before. Lovely card and I love the sentiment..

  3. What a lovely card Val, the colours are so pretty. I have those downloads too, as yet unused, shame on me. I love your composition, it really is fabulous. Looking forward to seeing your creations this year, Happy New Year to you, Judith xx

  4. I love the way you balanced the cockatoo image with the stamped feather & the beautiful way in which you've used the patterned paper. I have many many stamps that need inking so I'm aiming to work with those this year.

  5. A beautiful card Val, love the bird, and the colour. I've managed to resist so far, but did buy some of the christmas downloads while they were half price. I've just had a little tidy around and already found something for next weeks FF.

  6. Great to see you back Val and really in the "swing" with this gorgeous card. I think we are all guilty of downloading huge amountsxof stuff that just ends up staying on the computer - sounds like a new year resolution to me......

  8. Oops, you've just shamed me again Val as I have those lovely downloads and not used them. I keep looking at them on the computer screen (almost like stroking the large number of papers I have) and not doing anything with them and it's such a shame because they are gorgeous. Mind you I do have a very good excuse in that my printer has been on the blink since we changed the ink cartridge for the first time (weeks ago now) and even #1 Son can't figure it out so it's time to bring in the big guns next week I hope, lol!

In the meantime I will admire your beautiful card with it's gorgeous colours and perfect layout.

    Hugs
